A pair of sapsuckers were coming my way, moving from dead branches to dead trees to finaly land on one well lighted at a fair distance. One of the two birds took that camouflage pose for a long minute. Naked eye at that distance he was totaly invisible. Then he stop the camouflage mode and start moving for insects as usual.

They really are camouflaged against the tree trunk. Nice job keeping your eye on them and capturing the shot Yves.
