I was out hiking behind my house on a path I’ve hiked many times. I spotted a side trail that I had never walked down before but felt something drawing me down it. I walked about 100 yards down the trail and boom, there sat a baby long-eared owl. I backed away slowly and while leaving I spotted one of the parents perched up perfectly. I snapped a couple photos of mom or dad and left.
