I had a great opportunity to photo shoot a northern harrier hunting at my favorite marsh. Out of a 5 minutes shooting here is a sequence of three. The guy comes from the right for a second run on that spot. I suspect the wings placed that way is to produce shadow to better see through the shallow water.

Very interesting analogy. It would not surprise me Yves. Love the wings in this shot with the head down hunting.
