Red-tailed Hawk

I was watching a field during golden hour hoping to see some critters but nothing was about. I was ready to head home when I started hearing the distinctive cry of a Red-tailed Hawk somewhere behind me. I scanned the sky and saw nothing so I walked down the road a ways. I spotted an orange blob in a pile of logs and looked through my camera lens to see what it was. I have never seen a hawk hunkered down but it must not have appreciated my presence as it called out several times. It kept vocalizing, stood up and had a good stare at me before flying off.
