This was one of the neatest things I have experienced to date doing photography. My wife and I made our way down to a point on the beach on the Northumberland Straight and sat down on a rock at sunset. Within minutes a blue heron flew in and landed directly in front of us. We were both in shock how close this normally skiddish bird landed to us. The pic explains it all.
