As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the Alberta prairie in hues of gold and amber, an eastbound grain train highballs across the open plains as it slices through the fading light.

Fabulous, Clifford. I love the line of the train echoing the lines in the sky. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

Terrific description Clifford. The poetry writer in me love it. You must have some kind of link with those long trains crossing a landscape. Awesome photo. The simplicity of the compo and colour tones is magic. The poetic pale sky strongly hilight the long line of the train vanishing at the sunset point. Clearly the front page of a specialised magazine.

Hard to choose: The description of what the lens captured, or the photo itself. A lovely shot. That fading light creates a feeling of separation and isolation.
