Green Herons are already fascinating little hunters, but watching their flexibility is something else entirely. This one struck a pose that looks almost impossible—stretching and preening with perfect balance on a branch over the water. It’s incredible how these small herons combine elegance, agility, and precision, whether they’re fishing or simply keeping their feathers in top condition. Photographed with my Nikon Z6ii and 800mm prime, while maintaining a respectful distance so as not to disturb this quiet moment.
