Crossbill

I was driving home after finding the Bluebirds and saw a flash of red in front of me. I quickly pulled over and stopped, to find this White-winged Crossbill eating small pebbles off the dirt road. I was able to spend a little time with them, before another vehicle drove by and spooked the pair into a tree. I have never come across this bird before, so was very excited to have gotten a few photos, especially of the male and his beautiful vibrant colours.
