Came across an interesting tree along a back road on a hilltop road. According to arborists trees like this don't have a very promising future but this one seems to be standing the test of time pretty well. It stood out nicely against the golden trees behind it which may be why I never noticed it before.

I love it, Heather. It makes you wonder what happened to cause it. Great story telling with an unusual photo.

So nice that you saw the meaningful interest of the scene Heather. The pale sky and bright yellow trees gives a pretty good spark to the photo. I could write few pages about the broken tree that decided not to die but made the best available life out of the situation. Not a hazard that the road separate the abnormal pine tree from a normal pair of trees that mirror it. Super shot Heather.

That is a very beautiful and interesting landscape Heather. Nice storyline as well. What a cool pine tree and it looks to be very healthy. I agree with you the fall colours and rolling hills sure do make the pine tree stand out. Lovely composition and thanks for sharing.
