Robins are common around here but it is not so often that I see one on the river bank. May be he took the opportunity that the water level was very low. Notice that the shooting conditions produce a strange contrast. the bird look like he has been cut and paste on the photo.

You caught him in a great pose and the unusual background waters add an intriguing quality to this image. I love the simplicity of his surroundings and how well it focuses on the beauty of the robin. Great shot, Yves.

You are right Yves, I too have not see a Robin along the water like that. Probably some good bugs or worms along the shore. I like the composition, lighting and focus, nicely captured. The image does have a different feel to it.was it one of those very hot days where you can see the heat in the air. Cool shot.
