    On two previous visits to the mill pond here in Hespeler. In my haste to get to my favourite spot, I managed to startle this Great Blue Heron. Conveniently ruining a great opportunity for a much closer encounter, than one usually gets. Lesson learned, I on subsequent visits this past week forced myself to slow down, and be more vigilant to one's surroundings. It paid off, with three, undisturbed encounters.
