I brought our dog to Kelowna for eye grafting surgery, and after I dropped her off, I walked around their property, they have a trail going all the way around the building. I could hear a lot of birds, so I stopped and waited to see if they would come out. The longer I stood there, the more of these little guys would make appearances. I have never seen Pygmy Nuthatches before and was happy to see so many of them. They were so busy, constantly shoving seeds into the bark of pine trees, I loved watching them. It was a nice distraction from thinking about my dog and her surgery.
