The coltsfoot is not a big plant with an impressive blooming but they are the earlyest blooming flowers of the season. When comes the first warm day of april I grab the camera and reunite with Mother Nature after 6 months of long winter. The coltsfoot beeing the rare coloured thing in nature at this time, he is the one that welcomes me back in the Mother Nature's world. Just for that he take a special place in my heart. Of course this shot is not a detailed flower from the previous photo. In order to show you the interesting center of those tiny flowers I needed a specific setup. So this shot is from another plant along the trail. A flower brightly lighted with a dark shadow in the back. (taken apr 29 2025)

Nice storyline for this amazing shot Yves. The colors and detail are grand against the non-descript background.

Awesome capture Yves, the flower has so much detail and vivid colour. One of those images that really shows off the beauty of nature. Well done Yves.

Very nice tones and detail against the stark dark background, it really stands out Yves. I especially like the intricate detail you caught of the center of the flower.. not easy to do with colours that are so closely related. Very well done!
