We had a bit of time to spare before the next ferry, so I decided to walk a trail that I use to go to as a child. There is a boardwalk going right down the middle of a marsh and we saw ducks, heron, deer and this garter snake hanging out in the water. It was a bit of a drop to the water, so I knew I wouldn't be able to get my camera at ground level with the snake, but I tried my hardest and also to not drop my camera in the water.
