I normally don't photograph with the sun right behind a subject, as it's difficult for their features to be clear. I was so focused on this male Northern Harrier flying around, that I wasn't sure the photo was going to turn out. Once he was flying around a little farther away, I quickly looked at my camera and noticed the shot actually turned out! I love how his feathers are all lit up from behind, creating a dreamy high contrast image.
