Over the last several years. There has been a noticeable increase in the numbers of Sandhill Cranes, inside Waterloo region, here in Ontario. What was once a rare occurrence, is now common. This group, was one of 98 individuals I counted recently on a dried lake bed, just outside of Cambridge.
