Common Merganser fighting a Pike

Was photographing this female Common Merganser and when it came up from a dive it had a big fish later Id'd as a Pike the merganser struggled to get control and try and eat the fish and the Pike did its best to thwart that effort by fighting back and biting the bird to eventually the merganser relented and let the Pike go it way
