After we got back from our morning outing, and had lunch, I was going through my photos. Once I was done going through them, we were just relaxing, when my husband said I should go for a drive before it got dark and before dinner was ready. So I bundled up, grabbed my camera and headed out the door, don't have to tell me twice to go take photos! I wasn't seeing much, but it was beautiful out, so I wasn't minding it. As I was on my way back, I saw something flying in the fields around the river, and instantly knew it was an owl. I pulled over and watched as it gracefully flew over the half frozen river and grassy meadows. I sat in my vehicle along the road and the owl flew in close to where I was sitting, I was high up on the road, looking down at the river, and this owl flew right along the grass lined edge. I was so excited, I wasn't sure if I got any photos in focus, the sun had set about 20 minutes before and I was constantly adjusting my settings.
