While driving on the Alaska Highway towards Kluane National Park, I had fortune of coming across this female elk. As the rut season had ended, she along with other cows and their calves were migrating west. She made quite the striking pose in front of a beautiful mountain range. The accessory around her neck allows conservations to track her as she traverses the cold north.
