Bridal Veil Falls in Kagawong, Manitoulin Island, during the first week of 2026. It wasn't until my sixth winter on the Island that I finally hauled my lazy behind to see what this lovely waterfall looks like in winter. It was a treacherous experience walking down the metal stairs and not slipping on ice or snow slides that traced the sloping steps. Some people hike in from the parking lot downstream, such as the two people wearing snowshoes with whom I exchanged waves.
