The Double-crested Cormorant is known for its Jurassic, almost reptilian appearance. Perched on its rock the background takes on the appearance of glowing sun or moon on the horizon but is merely a Christmas light shining through the tree in a city park on the far side of the pond. A reminder of the creative opportunities with wildlife photography close to home.
