This beautiful Snowy Owl sat atop a favourite prairie perch, a power pole and spent no time in displaying her annoyance at my arrival. I took a fast shot (heavily cropped) while remaining in my vehicle before leaving her to continue enjoying our unseasonably warm January here in Alberta, Canada. This species continues to decline and its been extremely disturbing to see some photographers and tour operators continue to bait them this winter.
