I was in a shallop on a remote island, when a shadow cast itself at the bottom of the boat. Looking up, above the isolated peaks, the tomb cut through the air. He flew above the black spruce trees for a while, before disappearing into the vastness of his world. He was the vertigo of death, in feather and bone.
