I normally don't like shooting with the sun right behind a subject, but this time, I was waiting for one to land in those conditions. It was -9 this morning, so everything was covered in a layer of frost, and the birds were super active. So I grabbed a seat and waited for one to land, it didn't take long, but it also wasn't there for long either, so I had to act fast. Each year, we have been getting more and more Chickadees that visit our home, and I love it! For how tiny they are, they sure are a hardy bird, and always come around whether it's the middle of winter, or the summer.
