When it seemed like my afternoon of nature spotting seemed like a bust, I had paused to walk one final area on my way home. As I was about to head home, I suddenly spotted a Red-Tailed Hawk above a barn. To my delight, it suddenly flew over and perched itself on the tall lamp post next to me. It looked at me for a short while before returning to scanning the nearby fields, wind catching its feathers. This hawk is banded - which makes for an interesting find.
