    When I thought I was about to retire back to my car - without any sightings that day, this gorgeous Red-tailed Hawk decided to land right next to me in the field, prey in talons. I have never photographed a Red-tailed on the ground before, let alone that close to me and happily feasting on its catch! A very satisfied grin on its face.
