I had watched these two battle over the harbour a couple of days previous to this with the adult ending up in the water - it held on to its prey and took off once the youngster had left. This day they were a bit more cordial with one another, sharing their catches but with limits. This was one of the ‘it’s time you got your own food’ lectures the youngster was given.
