Phymata americana, known as the ambush bug, is a Phymatinae, or ambush bug in the family Reduviidae. It can be found on the flowers of various plants. Here this insect waits on a daisy flower. It is yellow-green in color, making it difficult to spot, and extremely small (at most 3mm) , therefore, a challenge for the 100mm macro lens. 1/800 sec f/8 ISO 800.
