    I hiked through some old growth forest, hoping to find this speices. I heard Steller's Jay making a ruckus and stop. I saw moving as this Owl flew through the forest. I hiked back as the ruckus continued eventually seeing this Barred Owl. This is the first one I had ever seen and photographed. May 2026.
