While I was sitting along the beach, watching the Surf Scoters, this Horned Grebe popped up right in the shallows of the lake in front of me. I have never seen this bird before, he was so calm with me sitting there and we spent a bit of time together as he would swim back and froth in front of me, on the hunt for some fish. The sun was setting, also becoming so bright on the water, almost too bright. I tried my best to capture this amazing bird, and I have to say, I do love how this one turned out. The sun shining in the corner, reflecting off the ripples of water and also on the water droplet on his beak, did you catch that one too??
