The eyes of a dragonfly are made up of up to 30,000 facets (ommatidia) per eye, depending on the species , These facets allow for an almost 360° panoramic view and an extremely fast perception of movement , In this close-up , we can see the numerous facets on the eye. , To see more details, I would need to use the technique called: focus stacking, but it's complicated, so I stick with my 100 mm , and in the field, not in the studio , by stacking dozens (sometimes hundreds) of images, each facet is captured at the moment when it is perfectly sharp Exposure data : 1/800 sec at f/8 , ISO 800 , 100 mm macro-lens
