It has been a recurring joy to watch the coming and goings of a little Eastern Screech family in my neighbourhood. The owlets have been growing up quickly and showing more and more signs of independence, yet continue to be very curious and expressive in behaviour. In this picture the little owlet was being comical after witnessing its sibling swoop down to the ground.
