At certain points in life we ALL reflect upon our own mortality. I reduced the 1800's graveyard to near B&W, and purposely reduced colour saturation in my left hand to seemingly blend in with it. The hand almost looks skeletal now. The vibrant colour and contrast of the rest of this image represents the vibrancy of life. I thought the Turkey Vultures were rather a poignant statement of the transision between life and death. Personal note: The English style "C" seen on the far grave stone is an image from the front of the house I grew up in. Naturally it stands for my last name.

Since I haven't received a single comment on this image, I suppose I should apologise to the CG community for its' sombre content.. However, I believe it to be an artistic expression of the human condition in it's purest, photographic form, and effectively illustrates the ponderance of the mortality of Man.... We all dream in black and white.... Doesn't anyone else appreciate the art of life in this image?
