I took this photo two winters ago when there was an irruption of Redpolls and other finches in eastern Ontario. According to this winter's finch report, there should be good numbers of Redpolls and other Finches. Large flocks of Pine Siskins are now in my backyard and I have sighted Pine Grosbeaks and Evening Grosbeaks as well.

This shot is very intriguing, I really like the splash of colour in it on the redpoll... It gives the shot life.
