In 2012 I was seriously injured, as part of the healing process I began spending a lot of time in nature and this led me to photography. I started taking photos with my iPhone, then I was gifted a DSLR camera. People really enjoyed seeing my wildlife photos and videos, so with the urging of family I created an Instagram and Facebook account(woman_ofthe_forest) I use photography to encapsulate the native flora and fauna. I admire many great wildlife photographers. I use photography as a therapeutic activity that lets me appreciate all that this wonderful world has to offer! Métis ♾️
