I was born and raised on Vancouver Island, where I spent 52 years. It was a beautiful place to grow up. However, yearning to escape the rat race of city life, in 2024 my spouse and I sold our house, left our careers, retired early, bought a toy hauler, loaded our motorcycles and hit the road. We made the tiny town of Nakusp our permanent home, with plans to spend summers there and travel in winter. I have always loved nature and wildlife since I was a child. Now with more time on my hands, I have more time for reconnecting with nature and traveling, discovering a passion and fascination for birds and photography.
