This mechanical chronograph movement is self-winding and has a power reserve of 56 hours. The back side reveals a display caseback and confirmation of this sporty chronograph's 100 meters of water resistance.Though the 20MAS line would grow to include a wide variety of colorways for the design, the core of the range was the grey-dialed SPB143. I was, and remain, a huge fan of the SPB143, and I think it represents one of the best models Seiko has released in the past several years. I have been picking up small scratches without noticing, especially on the bezel and the bracelet. It's interesting: Since I obtained a Royal Oak, I feel that I have become more careful about handling other things as well as I handle my watch. And I should stress that the brilliance of this watch is truly beautiful and is a factor behind the great satisfaction of owning it.For those who do find themselves comfortably in the three-figure zone, the Fortitude feels like an excellent option created for enthusiasts. The sizing reflects current taste, the details are thoughtful, there are several iterations, it wears well, and it comes on a well-matched bracelet – and all for a price that feels more like 2015 than it does 2020?
