She was born in Québec city, in 1960. Her experience in graphic design and animation for television and cinema became breeding ground for her paintings. After 17 years of advertising, computer animated projects and special effects, the call for matter pushed her to undertake her pictural work in printing, drawing and painting. The use of several techniques led to rich and fertile images. Her work can be seen in Mont Tremblant, Québec, galleries as well as in her Morin Heights studio.
Since 2008, Dominique has been traveling 5-6 times a year to the Cree Lands of Northern Québec, learning the ways of the elders. She has been painting the traditions, the people, the wildlife and the landscapes feverishly since then and continues to do so.
